Norfolk is in Virginia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Norfolk is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Virginia's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

First time visiting The Fresh Market, what a treat. I came looking for cheese curd and I found so much more. The produce is great, so fresh. The cheese curd I found was amazing. I am so pleased with everything I bought. I will definitely be back.

I love the Fresh Market. The specials and store made items are great. I have one complaint. You advertise store made pizzas on Saturday for $7.00. I got there at 9 am and there were a total of 5 pizzas. 2 sausage with expiration today, 2 specials and 1 pepperoni. This is the 3rd time this has happened. Itβs frustrating. Aside from this issue, I love it.

Door dash Sunday to the florist. Nobody there. Waiting Waiting Cashiers saw me. Waiting. Finally I asked cashier. Just wait. Someone from the meat department called for someone. A gentleman came looked confused when I saw i am here to pickup up roses. He shuffle papers found one dozen yellow roses. He needed a manager scan at cashier Waiting Waiting He handed me the yellow. I said there is a red dozen too. He looked confused. BUT the label said red and yellow? Can't he read? This is not good customer service! The customer had to wait. I didn't make money Waiting for a 7.00 door dash fee. Don't pass me by saying sorry or go to a web site. I prefer Face face. And comp me with a.small amount on a gift card. Robert L

This is my favorite grocery store in Hampton Roads. Itβs clean, well designed, the employees are so nice, they have almost everything I need besides yogurt with a higher protein content. I am also not a fan of salmon which is farm raised, it smells bad, like rotten and the texture isnβt right. They donβt sell wild Atlantic salmon here. Everything else is good though. The prices are often better here than Harris Teeter and there are great sales. If you live in the area Iβd recommend this grocery store for an elevated experience. One other possible downside is there are unhoused people in front sometimes, but they havenβt solicited me, they are usually just sitting down and eating food. Iβve also seen young adult or teenage men trying to sell candy bars for their football team outside the entrance.

Absolutely the best grocery store experience I've had next to Wegmans in Maryland. In fact, The Fresh Market has them beat on elegance and overall genuine quality of customer service and store atmosphere. The store decor unlike any I've seen in a grocery. The store set up and merchandise displayed has an everyday is a holiday feel. The atmosphere is such that not only are the store associates super accommodating but so are the customers towards one another, at least while they're in The Fresh Market! This is how we all should live and conduct ourselves and business.
